Editorial Standards and Source Policy
We cover bandy, winter sports, and Chinese athletics across Asia. Our reporting depends on verification, sourcing discipline, and a willingness to correct mistakes.
How We Verify Information
When we report on competitions, team rosters, rule changes, or athlete achievements, we work from official league documents, federation announcements, and direct contact with sports organizations whenever possible. For events we don’t attend, we cross-check multiple credible sources before publishing.
Bandy remains niche in English-language coverage. That scarcity means we’re careful not to amplify unconfirmed claims just because they’re the only version available in English. If we can’t verify something, we say so.
Our Sources
We rely on:
- Official statements from national bandy federations, the International Bandy Federation, and league administrators
- Direct reporting from competitions and training facilities
- Interviews with coaches, athletes, and sports officials
- Published research on winter sports development in China and Asia
- Local sports media in Chinese, Russian, and English where they report on regional events
We don’t treat rumors, social media posts, or anonymous claims as reporting. We name our sources when we can. When confidentiality matters, we explain why.
Corrections and Updates
We get things wrong sometimes. If you spot an error in our coverage, email us with specifics. We correct mistakes clearly and note what changed.
Winter sports schedules shift. Tournament results get formalized late. We update articles when new information arrives, and we mark significant updates so readers know what changed.
Scope and Limits
We focus on bandy and related winter sports in Asia. We’re not a general sports outlet. That focus means we go deeper on our beat than outlets covering ten sports at once. It also means we sometimes can’t match the speed of breaking news on mainstream platforms. We choose accuracy over being first.
